The event in a few words

Open your calendar 🗓️, grab your trail shoes 👟, and get ready to put on your best British accent 🇬🇧, because this April, you're off to the South Downs National Park for the Spring Trail Series 😄. Hosted by Ultra X, this isn't just any race – it’s a full immersion into English landscapes reminiscent of J.K. Rowling’s novels 🪄. The race takes place in Haslemere, in the Surrey region, in southern England. Yes, here you can imagine yourself as Harry Potter 🧙 running through misty plains, without having to battle Voldemort (thankfully) 😅.

Founded in 2010, the South Downs National Park is famous for its "Serpent Trail" 🐍, where you'll be running. This trail stretches nearly 100 km, offering a beautiful route through lush hills, enchanting forests, and the lowland moors of England 🏴. We hope you enjoy this description, as this is the trail you'll be tackling for 75, 50, or 25 km. The stage is set, now onto the program! 🤗

This course is part of the renowned UTMB® World Series, making it the perfect opportunity to take on internationally acclaimed trails 🌍. You don't need to be a wizard or a professional athlete to join, there's something for everyone! The Spring Trail Series offers three distances: the toughest 🥵 is 75 km with 1,362 mD+. If you're unsure about your stamina and fear your legs might give out near the end, opt for the 50 km with its 1,088 mD+, which will still be satisfying 🙃. If you're just a trail enthusiast or someone who prefers shorter distances, the 25 km option is made for you with its 572 mD+ 😁. Whichever distance you choose, you won’t regret signing up! The Spring Trail Series is organized by Ultra X, which might ring a bell – they host races worldwide like in Morocco 🇲🇦, Rwanda 🇷🇼, Tanzania 🇹🇿, and Scotland 🏴, to name a few ⚡️. As with all Ultra X events, these aren’t just races – they are experiences to live 🤪. Your April will be filled with surprises and new acquaintances thanks to this challenge. And as spring begins… a barbecue awaits at the finish line! 🍖 You’ll see, after your achievement, a host of festivities 🍻 await you.

If you miss the vacation camping vibes 🏕️ and the barbecue doesn't suffice, we have the solution! 😇 When registering, you can book a spot at the event village campground for the night before or the night of your big run 💪. By sleeping on-site, you can wake up amidst the race atmosphere ⏰, warm-up with your teammates 🫂 (or rivals, depending on your mindset) and enjoy meals with music 🎶. Sounds tempting, right? But one thing might still bother you 😰, you might be wondering, "Do I have what it takes?" 🫣. Fear not (or perhaps you should), as Finishers have an answer for everything 😈. The time limits are very generous; you have an average of 2 hours to cover 10 km, meaning if you find it tough, you can walk and admire the scenery! 🤩 Even in hiking 🥾 mode, with plenty of selfie stops 📸, you can finish without any hassle. There you go, we've won you over! 😌

The region is too beautiful for just a quick in-and-out ⏮️. Feel free to extend your stay and explore the surroundings 👁️. Just 60 km from Haslemere, you can visit London 🎡 with its numerous historical monuments and lively neighborhoods 🎉. Don't miss the City🏙️, Camden Town 🍸, or the famous Buckingham Palace 👑. If you prefer nature over the city, head to the Seven Sisters⛰️, the Kingley Vale National Nature Reserve 🌱, or Arundel Castle 🏰, just 40 km from Haslemere. After such a program, what better way to recharge than with a hearty English Breakfast featuring toast 🍞, eggs 🍳, and bacon 🥓? 🔋

Imagine yourself running through the morning mist, the silence only broken by the rhythm of your footsteps and breath 💨. Can you feel the magic already? Then don’t wait: put on your trail gear and come experience something amazing 😍.
