Ultra X Slovénie
You don't just need a race, you need a challenge that matches your ambitions! 🕺 There's nothing better than the Ultra X series 👀. Haven't heard of it yet? Well, we'll try not to judge you, but still! The Ultra X are ultra-trails scattered across the globe 🌍. They offer trail or hiking enthusiasts 🚶♀️ the chance to take on grand challenges! 🎆 On this page, we're here to introduce you to the Ultra X Slovenia. In the heart of Slovenia 🇸🇮, you'll start your journey in Ljubljana, the capital. Shuttles will depart on Friday to take you to Ajdovščina ⛰️.
Plan a short stay as the event spans over two days, from Saturday to Sunday, offering 4 distances to choose from! 🌪️ The longest is a 110 km course to be run or hiked in 2 stages, so you're in for quite the experience! 🔥 On the first day, you'll cover 60 km, and the second day 50. If you'd like to split the distance, you can do one of these individually on Saturday or Sunday. If you prefer starting with a shorter distance, then you might want to try the 25 km 💆♀️. For those registered for the 110 km, Saturday camping is included in the kit 🏕️, with tents set up for participants and those who booked. Of course, you can choose to find your own accommodation if you prefer not to sleep under the stars! 🌌 But that would be a shame with the mild June temperatures in Slovenia! 🌡️
To give you a sense of the setting, you'll be in the Julian Alps north of the Adriatic coast 🌄. You'll traverse wild terrains amidst the plateaus of Vipava. The Vipava Valley is a hidden gem, known for its excellent wines 🍇, perched villages, and Mediterranean vibe 🦗. The terrain is playful: sometimes smooth, sometimes quite technical, offering just the right amount of challenge to spice up the race. And after the effort? A glass of local wine and a delicious Slovenian dish await you 🍷. Honestly, it's hard to imagine a better trail experience! Remember, excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to health, always drink responsibly ⚠️.
If you enjoy the race, we have an extra challenge for you: the European Grand Slam! 🏆 The European Grand Slam award goes to those who complete the three European Ultra X events 💪. Among the races, you'll find Ultra X Slovenia, Ultra X Finland 🇫🇮, and Ultra X Madeira 🏝️. You can choose any combination of events, but they all must be ultra distances, meaning the Ultra X Finland 25 km does not count for the Grand Slam! 🎽
So, adventurer 👣, are you ready to embark on a new challenge full of color kilometers? 🤠
