God bless America 🇺🇸

The United States remains a unique, legendary destination. Even though Route 66 has faded into history, the American myths are very much alive. Shall we cross the Atlantic?

New York, Miami, San Francisco, Detroit, New Orleans... How many American cities live in your memory without ever having visited them? American movies and TV series are definitely to blame. Now, it's your turn to imprint your own images, maybe during a trip or a run! Let's start in what many consider the world's most prestigious city: New York. The birthplace of Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese, one of the largest metropolises in the world, it's also home to ultra famous neighborhoods like Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island... Legendary, we told you! Further south, still on the East Coast, New Orleans offers an entirely different setting, where jazz music 🎷 is still very much alive! In this culturally and musically rich city of Louisiana, legends like Louis Armstrong and many other artists made their mark. In Florida, the city of Miami is worth a detour, especially since Robert "Raven" Kraft awaits to run with you every day of the year on the legendary sand that lines the city! We've talked about cities, but the USA is also home to incredible natural territories, such as the Rocky Mountains, stretching from the United States to Canada, passing through 6 American states (!). The national parks like Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Glacier will offer you unique natural settings. You might encounter bears 🐻 (from a distance, of course!), grizzlies, coyotes, wolves 🐺, deer 🦌, bison 🦬, and elk... In Yellowstone, situated at an average altitude of 2400 meters, the highest peak is Eagle Peak (3462 meters). We've traveled the East, crossed the country, what about the "West Coast"? If you're more Ice Cube than Beastie Boys, then yes, California is a must-visit for you, and we get it. Los Angeles and Hollywood await you! San Diego, located near the border with Mexico, is a very cool multi-cultural city to live in. And the climate is very cool too ☀️! Still on the West Coast and still in California, San Francisco is a special city, known for its cultural openness. Can't wait to drive along its famous hills? To reenact Bullit is just a step away... Not that we recommend it. Another legendary place in the States, the mirage city of Las Vegas, with its casinos, giant shopping malls in the middle of the desert... A soon-to-be bygone era? One cannot think of this great country without mentioning cowboy culture (the ones who manage cattle 🐄, not those from western movies). Head then to the great plains of Texas or Oregon! And now, how about we look at running events? Yummy 😋.

Find here the calendar of races in the United States. From New York, Chicago to Los Angeles, the routes and distances of the country will no doubt entertain you 🤪! Trail, walking, half-marathon or marathon, set out to discover the treasures of Uncle Sam's country. We start with the most prestigious race in the world, the one everyone thinks of when talking about marathons... The New York Marathon of course! Every year, thousands of participants cross the Big Apple and its most famous neighborhoods. A true holy grail for the road runner. Stay in the American dream with a little detour to Florida, in the theme park Disney World located near Orlando. The kids are going to love the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! Also nice, the Women Run the Cities is a charity race for women only, benefitting the Girls on the Run organization! The event is held in the city of Minneapolis in Minnesota. For ultra fans, the appointment is set in California for the Badwater Ultra-Marathon. 135 kilometers through the infamous Death Valley ☠️... Not exactly known for its coolness! The event features a road race across deserts, dunes, and mountains in the area... Beware of hallucinations. Let's stay in the ultra domain but return to nature and trail with the Hardrock 100. This highly regarded event for its difficulty takes you right into Colorado, exploring the landscapes around the town of Silverton. A no-compromise ultra trail.
