The event in a few words

The Palmeraie Village 🌴, located just a few kilometers from the Red City in Morocco 🇲🇦, is where the Trail de la Palmeraie-Marrakech takes place. Both national and international trail runners offers a fun 🥳 and eco-friendly ♻️ experience, welcoming beginners and professionals alike 💪.

Between late November and early December, the lights of Morocco shine ✨ over three different events with no fewer than 9 distances to choose from. Options include a 5 km trail, a 10 km trail, a 21 km trail in the heart of the Palmeraie, and a 42 km trail for the bravest! 😎 For experienced cyclists 🚵‍♀️, the event includes 21 km, 50 km, and 80 km races! 🤯 And finally, there's a 71 km Run & Bike challenge to be completed in 48 hours, top clock! ⏱️

The association Trail Maroc organizes this weekend with the aim of helping you discover or rediscover the region of Marrakech, while also raising awareness about its preservation. Ranked second in biodiversity 🥈, Morocco has established several national parks 🌲 and nature reserves to preserve its wildlife 🦅 and flora 🌷, actively fighting against deforestation and desertification ❌.

The excitement kicks off at dawn at the race village in Palmeraie Village. Sports lovers and nature enthusiasts 🍃, this event is a blend of competition, camaraderie, solidarity, respect, and responsibility. The climate during this period will provide the perfect conditions for you to catch your breath 🌬, unless you're left breathless by the snowy peaks of the High Atlas mountains, dominated by the imposing Mount Toubkal 🏔. Just 70 km away, this peak watches over a million residents and offers a stunning contrast with the Palmeraie that seems to lie at its feet 👣. Make sure to prepare your feet, as the various terrains and surfaces might give you some impressive blisters💡. Nearly 100,000 palm trees have grown since the 11th century. As a Moroccan natural heritage spanning 15,000 hectares, the Palmeraie is recognized as a historic landmark of culture, economy, and tourism in Marrakech. This legendary natural area, more often traversed by dromedaries 🐪, will host you for a weekend to end your season in the best way possible 🤗.

Have I forgotten something? 🧐 Oh yes, there's more! The dreamy city of One Thousand and One Nights holds more delights for you. Aladdin 🧞‍♂️ can take you on a magical carpet ride over the Jbilets desert (meaning "little mountains" in Berber), a desert with extraordinary geological features dating back to the Paleozoic era 🤓. You'll find ancient detrital sediments, remnants of a long-eroded mountain chain that have been folded, faulted, and recrystallized. The surroundings of the city are just as captivating. Valleys, lakes, mountains, and deserts are at your disposal... Just choose and let yourself be charmed 🥰. If you prefer the hustle and bustle, lose yourself in the souks of the historic district of the Medina. The scents of spices 🌶, various herb infusions 🌿, especially peppermint, will transport you 🧳.

The association Trail Maroc places a strong emphasis on promoting its ecosystem ♻️. They are committed to preserving their playground and highlighting its value, as well as raising awareness about its preservation. Their values guide their choices and shape their races, and this event will be no exception! Ecological and social actions 🤝 will be implemented throughout the weekend, combining a love for sports with sustainability.
