The event in a few words

In the charming commune of Val Cenis, nestled in the heart of Savoie, a race full of thrills awaits you. With stunning lakes and majestic mountains, breathtaking views and exceptional landscapes, you're in for quite a visual treat 😍. Just a stone's throw from the ski slopes ⛷️, you'll glide down the most stunning descents and elevations, as if your head were in the clouds ☁️. One perk of this race: the weather couldn't be more perfect! 🤓 You'll be racing in the heart of summer ☀️, at the beginning of August, in the EDF Val Cenis Trail! 🏃‍➡️

To ensure you enjoy the summer heat, the organizers have designed 6 different distances to suit your preferences. So, what's your favorite color? 😏 Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, Black? 🌈 Just like winter ski slopes, each course is marked by its own color. Choose the one that appeals to you! Be careful not to bite off more than you can chew 🦵 because you're in for quite the mileage! 🥵 Whether it's a short trail, a long trail, or an ultra-trail, you'll be spoiled for choice! 😎 Specifically, you can choose from 10 km, 15 km, 29 km, 43 km, 58 km, and 73 km options 😅. The 10 km route can be done with or without poles if you prefer walking, and there's even a special race for the kids, ensuring the young finishers find their match! 👶 But it won't just be the mileage that leaves you dizzy 😵; it might be the thin air once you reach 3,000 meters above sea level! Yes, you're reading that right – you'll be reaching great heights! ⬆️ With elevations from 500 to 4,271 mD+, you'll want to pack light to tackle those climbs! 😬

But don't worry, the views will be worth every ounce of effort! Between the Vanoise Massif and the Mont Cenis Pass, you’ll be in for a treat! From the Refuge du Cuchet and the Pont du Rafour to the Ouillon des Arcellins, Fort de Malamot, and the Fort de la Turra, the Haute Maurienne will be unveiled like never before! 🤩 And speaking of panoramas, you'll have an unmatched view of the Vanoise Glaciers ⛰️ and the stunning Lac du Mont Cenis 🏞️ with its dazzling azure blue 🩵.

After your trail adventure in Val Cenis, you'll love being in Savoie. Because Savoie is synonymous with hearty mountain specialties like raclette and fondue 🫕. You've certainly earned it! 😋 You can also take your time to explore the surroundings (without the stopwatch this time)! Between Mont Cenis and the stunning sights of the Maurienne Valley, you'll be more than satisfied!

Get ready to be dizzy at the Mont Cenis! 🫨
