The event in a few words

The Seville Half Marathon (formally known as the EDP Medio Maratón de Sevilla) is a must-note event in your running calendar for Spain 🇪🇸. For 21.097 km, you'll enjoy the charm of the ⭐ Andalusian capital ⭐, which has preserved many buildings from the Al-Andalus era. Feeling the urge to participate in a half marathon? 😎 Well, the best option for you is to come to the Seville Half Marathon! Why? It's simple: this half marathon is known for being very enjoyable, with a flat and very fast 💨 course. Last year (2024), Ethiopian runner Bimr Zerihun 🇪🇹 set the women's record with a time of 1h07:59! ⏱️ Sure, not everyone will hit that time, but you can certainly aim to beat your personal best! 💪 Is that not enough to convince you? The course takes you through all the coolest spots in the city 🏃‍♀️, and as the cherry on top 🍒, there are various activities along the route to ensure maximum support from spectators! 🗣️ And you probably already know, Spaniards know how to create an amazing atmosphere... Of course, you’ll need to stay focused as there's still 21 km to cover, but the temperatures will be cool enough to make your run pleasant 🧖‍♂️. Just remember to wear gear suited to the weather conditions 👟.

Conveniently, during your stay 🎟️, you'll have the chance to explore Seville's numerous marvels. Here's a special selection for Finishers that will delight you! 🤗 While strolling through Seville's streets, start with the most iconic spots like the Plaza de España ⛲. This spectacular large square, surrounded by water, offers flamenco shows, music 🎷, and traditional songs 🎙️ in an enchanting local setting. Next, you might want to visit the Seville Cathedral ⛪, which succeeded the old 12th-century Great Mosque 🕌 and houses the tomb of Christopher Columbus 🤠. Take a walk through the Santa Cruz neighborhood 👣, in the historical center of Seville 📚, where you can find 12th-century buildings adorned with azulejos and the scent of orange blossoms in the air 🍊. Continue to the Casa de Pilatos, an ancient aristocratic palace 🏛️ with numerous Greek and Roman statues. If you want some nature, wander through the Maria Luisa Park, a true gem of tranquility perfect for unwinding after the race. Spanish markets are also a must-see; don't miss the Mercado Lonja Del Barranco 🌯, with 20 stands offering traditional tapas—a real treat! 🍅 End your day by watching a flamenco show to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant Spanish culture 💃.

Alright, now you have all the reasons you need to sign up! 🤝

Put on your best running shoes; the colorful streets and lively atmosphere of Seville are waiting for you! 😁
