Paris isn’t just a concrete jungle in Île-de-France – you’ll discover just that if you take part in the Ecotrail de Paris! The city opens its doors to fans of sustainable sports with 8 different distances to choose from. Book your spot now, because you're sure to find the race that suits you 😏. Yes, you can pick from 6 trail distances—120 km, 80 km, 45 km, 35 km, 30 km, 18 km, and 10 km—and 2 nordic walking distances of 18 km and 10 km. Isn’t that great? And there's more... Get ready to cross numerous parks and woods, follow along the beautiful Seine, and climb up the steps of the Eiffel Tower 😍.
Sure, the Iron Lady, the Champ-de-Mars, and historic monuments are stars of the various routes, but the real highlight is enjoying the natural surroundings 🌤. If you’re not familiar with the concept of an EcoTrail, it involves using preserved natural trails to raise awareness among runners and the public about the fragility of the environment. The primary goal of such events is to awaken consciousness about the climate emergency through awareness campaigns 🤝. Every piece of waste is sorted and collected, trails are cleaned, and all products used are sustainable, local, and seasonal. Doesn’t it make you want to take a stroll through the forest? 🍂
Enough about the concept—let's talk routes! The race starts from unique locations. Drumroll, please... 🥁 You have the choice between the terrace of the Paris Observatory in Meudon (typically closed to the public, how lucky you are!), the Ile de Loisirs de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, the Domain of the Château de Versailles or the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud... 😯 A perfect excuse to sing the Marseillaise while visiting iconic parts of our heritage 🎙. And the highlight of most races is the Eiffel Tower itself, you lucky thing. However, the races are mostly natural, comprised of about 85 or 90% green spaces.
So, what motivates you most: nature, monuments, or environmental commitment? Whatever your answer, the EcoTrail Paris is sure to delight. Come break the monotony of city life and the "metro, work, sleep" cycle. Discover for yourself how pleasant it is to roam the region without suffocating, all while enjoying its splendid natural spaces 😄. After your race, stick around to explore more of the City of Light and its surroundings 🥐.
When Paris wakes up, it's green ! 🟢
