Have you always dreamed of visiting the Moldovan capital? 📍 With the Chișinău Marathon 🎽, you can make that dream a reality! This is the must-attend event for any running enthusiast, beginners and experienced runners alike 🤓. The Chișinău International Marathon has been taking place in the city of Chișinău, in the Republic of Moldova, since 2015 🗓️. Mark your calendar for the end of September! As you rack up the kilometers, you'll experience the rich traditions and customs of the Moldovan people 🥰.
Whether you're going for a full marathon, a half-marathon, a 10k, or a 5k, you'll be cheered on by the warmth and hospitality of the local supporters! 🏃 Starting from the iconic Great National Assembly Square, every step will unveil remarkable monuments, such as the Stephen the Great Monument and the Triumphal Arch 🏛️. You'll also soak in an electric atmosphere in lively public parks that will add extra pep to your pace! 🎉 The race course takes you through the central streets of Chișinău, offering a very straightforward path! 🛣️ Why not aim for your personal best that day? ⏱️ But watch out for that elevation gain 📈. There are 61 mD+ announced on the 10k route, so be prepared if you plan to double or quadruple that distance! ☝️ It's going to challenge your calves! But the friendly spirit of this event will delight your 👟. Kids will have their own races and for those who aren't racing the clock, a "FunRun" of 1.5 km will be organized! 😁
After the exertion, it's time for exploration! 🗺️ You can learn more about the largest wine collection in Europe and the most extensive set of underground wine cellars 🍷, all set in a backdrop of rustic charm and breathtaking landscapes 🤩. You can also delve into history by visiting the Tighina Fortress or relax by the Ghidighici Lake 🏞️. For a family outing, the Chișinău Zoo will amaze both young and old 🦁.
