Yes, you're about to embark on a high-speed adventure on the streets of this Serbian gem 🚀. The Belgrade Marathon is a must-attend event this early April! 🗓️ Known for its fast course, get ready for a personal best ! ⏱️ But don't worry if you're not racing against the clock; several distances are available for you to enjoy this city nestled between the Danube and the Sava Rivers 🏞️.
Before diving into one of these rivers 🏊♂️, how about learning more about the routes and distances? 🤔 Trust us, it's worth exploring ! Whether it's a 10k, a half marathon, or a full marathon, you'll have a chance to admire the rich historical heritage of Belgrade. As a crossroad between East and West 🌍, you're in for a cultural treat ! There's nothing better than combining sport and travel for a fully immersive running experience 🧳. Plus, you can bring the whole family 👨👩👧👦, as there's a 2.3 km race open to everyone! 🤗
And since Belgrade will leave a lasting impression, it would be a shame not to explore after the race ! 👟 After exerting yourself, take a trip to the Belgrade Fortress overlooking the confluence of the Danube and the Sava 😍. For a relaxing moment with family or as a couple, head to Ada Ciganlija Island 🏝️, where you can unwind by the water or engage in water sports 🚣. And why not savor the delicious Serbian cuisine in Skadarlija's bohemian quarter? 🍽️ If you're a culture buff, the Nikola Tesla Museum awaits you for a dive into this genius inventor's world 🧠. You will start your race in front of the Church of St. Mark in Belgrade ⛪ and take a right towards the Nikola Tesla Museum 🏛️.
Then, you'll head to Savski Square and make your way to Branko's Bridge 🌉. You'll pass by the Royal Palace and continue straight ahead to the Madlenianum Opera House 🎶. After a left turn, another long stretch awaits you as you race towards Block 61! 🏙️ Finally, make your way to the finish line, passing by various shopping centers 🛍️ and the Belgrade Casino. You'll cross Branko's Bridge once more to raise your arms in triumph under the finish line in front of the Hotel Moskva! 🏁
Congratulations, you have conquered the 42.195 km of the marathon! 👏
You will start your race in front of the St. Mark's Church in Belgrade ⛪ and make a right turn towards the Nikola Tesla Museum 🏛️.
From there, you'll head to Savski Square before making your way towards the Branko Bridge 🌉. You'll pass by the Serbian Palace and loop around Block 9A, then circle Block 30 and 28. You'll cross the Ada Bridge on a round trip! 🔁 As you head back towards the finish line at the Moskva Hotel 🏁, you'll run along Block 22 and 21 and make another pass over the Branko Bridge 🌉.
Congratulations, you'll officially be a half-marathoner! 👏
Just like the marathon and the half-marathon, your race will start in front of the St. Mark's Church in Belgrade ⛪. You'll then turn right heading towards the Nikola Tesla Museum 🏛️. Afterward, you'll make your way to Savski Square and then head towards the Branko's Bridge 🌉. You'll pass by the Royal Palace of Serbia and turn around to cross the finish line in front of the Hotel Moskva! 🏁
Bib collection will take place at the Belgrade Fair. The specific dates and times for pickup will be announced soon.
The races will start at the intersection of Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra and Resavska streets at:
8:00 AM for the marathon
9:30 AM for the half-marathon
11:00 AM for the 10K
1:00 PM for the 2.3K
For the 10K, children aged 12 to 18 must have written consent from a parent, which will be signed in person at bib pickup.
For the half-marathon, participants aged 14 to 18 require written consent from a parent, signed in person upon collecting the participant’s packet.
The marathon is open to all participants aged 18 and over.
All races have a uniform pricing structure:
€45 from 12/01/2024 to 01/31/2025
€55 starting 02/01/2025
€65 from 05/03/2025 to 05/04/2025 at the Belgrade Expo
6 hours to complete the marathon
3 hours to complete the half-marathon
1.5 hours to complete the 10K
13 refreshment stations on the marathon course
6 refreshment stations on the half-marathon course
