La Grenobloise Cyclosportive
Ready to make your best lap around the track? 💃 Welcome to the wonderful adventure of the Grenobloise Cyclosportive in the heart of the Isère ⛰️. Under the gentle July sun, you can hop on your bike and explore the stunning landscapes of the Chartreuse 🥰, all while passing through legendary mountain passes. Choose from three distances: 43 km, 91 km, or 130 km 😎. There's something for every level, so everyone can find the right fit 👟. Plus, there's a special surprise this year... 🎁 The race joins the "Cyclo d'Isère" challenge which includes three races: the Grenobloise Cyclosportive, The Thierry Claveyrolat Cyclosportive and the Imperial Cyclosportive Laffrey. This challenge organizes a championship across these races, and a ranking will be established based on the maximum points you can earn!
Let's not keep you waiting and introduce the courses right away! 😚 The first distance, the little baby of the Grenobloise Cyclosportive 🍼, is the "Rando" course of 43 km and 1,300 m elevation gain 🚴. This route is open to everyone, a great option for those who have never really participated in a sportive cycling event and want to test themselves on a shorter distance 🤏. This route is non-timed, so no need to stress ⌛, the most important thing is to have fun! ❤️ The second course is the "Mediofondo" 👯♂️, which is a solid distance for those legs with 91 km and 2,450 m elevation gain 🔥. Riders will experience the climb of the Pinet d’Uriage ⛰️, before taking in the stunning Balcons de Belledonne. The course culminates with the ascent of La Bastille in Grenoble ⬆️. Finally, the best—or maybe the toughest... 👼 The giant of the competition, the "Granfondo": 130 km and 3,450 m elevation gain—quite the challenge! 😮 This race is for cyclists who have some experience 🧳. Participants will encounter legendary mountain passes like the Col du Cucheron, the Col de Porte, or the Col de Granier 🤠. These climbs are sure to make unforgettable memories—though not always fond ones 🧠, as you'll need to be ready to face some pain to conquer them 🫣. Like its little sister 👭, the "Mediafondo", this route also finishes with the ascent of La Bastille of Grenoble 🚠, in a grand finale. So choose wisely to balance challenge and enjoyment! 😁 Keep your eyes on the "Challenge Cyclo d'Isère" to spice up your adventure and try to earn some points in the rankings 🏆.
That's quite a lot of emotions, isn't it? 💌 You'll definitely deserve some rest 💆. Around Grenoble, there are several thermal spas, such as the Thermes de l'Alpe d'Huez 🛀. These spas offer a great moment of relaxation with well-being treatments and massages 🧖. Afterward, you can take a ride on "Les Bulles", also known as the Grenoble cable car, to get a panoramic view of the city 👀. Finally, what better way to celebrate than with a delicious gratin dauphinois 🥔, one of the city's signature dishes. After that, you might just feel like a true Grenoble resident! 💪
Now we’re just waiting for you to ride the cols of Isère! 🗻
