Following a sold-out first edition, the Stramilano SottoZero is back to shake up the streets of Milan, Italy! 📍 On the first day of December, you'll take on the kilometers of this highly successful road race! 🏆 The near-freezing temperatures won't stop the runners 💪. And it won't stop you either, right? 🤔 We recommend you gear up with winter apparel (skip the ski suit 🤓) and train well, because even if your calves are freezing, it's going to be a hot race! 🔥
The distances won't be very long and the course is quite flat, so it's the perfect opportunity to beat your personal best at one of the last events of the year! 🗓️ Whether it's 5 or 10 km, in competitive mode or more chilled, the choice is yours 😉. All participants will start from Viale Cassiodoro. All events will follow the 5 km route, which will take place entirely within the Parco di CityLife, the largest shopping center 🛍️ in the "Fashion Capital" 👕. The Stramilano SottoZero will immerse you in a dose of Italian culture: Piazza Giulio Cesare, Piazza Tre Torri, Fountain of the Four Seasons... The monuments will be present! 🏛️
After crossing the finish line 🏁, don't forget to enjoy everything the region has to offer. Take the time to relish a delicious risotto alla milanese at a local restaurant 🍝. Or why not explore the stunning Lake Como, with its breathtaking landscapes and charming surrounding villages? 🏞️ It's just an hour's drive away and perfect for recharging after your effort 😌. If you're a culture enthusiast, a visit to the famous Duomo di Milano Cathedral is a must! ⛪ Whether with a partner or family, everyone will enjoy a stroll through the historic Brera district, where art and history meet 🖼️.
So, are you ready to brave the cold and end the year on a high note? 🎉
For this 10 km race in a competitive format, the course remains the same as the 5 km race. So, you'll need to complete the loop twice! 😎
