The event in a few words

Iron Man, Captain America 🦸‍♂️, Hulk or even Thor 🔨, these superheroes have all become stars! ⭐ Would you like to become the greatest star of the Avengers? 😎 To achieve this, you will need to wear your best bib number 🎽 and cross the finish line of a marathon 🏁, but not just any marathon: the Stavanger Marathon! 📍 It's in the fourth-largest city in Norway 🏙️ that you'll have your trial by fire 🔥 to engrave your name in history ✒️. Between city, park, lakes, and seaside 🏞️, you'll have to conquer some elevation to complete this road race! 🛣️ But starting from the Cathedral ⛪, the atmosphere will be so electrifying that it will give you wings! 🪽

If you're not quite ready to tackle the full 42.195 km of the marathon, don't worry, your mission isn't canceled 😉. In a half-marathon or 5 km, you can still showcase your abilities! 💪 You can also complete the relay marathon with a team of 10 superheroes! 🤝 So bring along your best team 👑. And brace yourself, as you'll be surrounded by the stunning Norwegian fjords (though not in the water, you're not starting a triathlon 🏊). This region of Norway, in addition to being the heart of the country's oil industry 🛢️, boasts natural landscapes and monuments that will leave you in awe 😮. But don't linger too long, you've got a race to finish! 😂 Plus, at the finish line, you'll switch roles and cheer for the next generation of Avengers: the mini superheroes 🧒 will also be there! A group of little legs will take on a 440 m loop around the Cathedral, amid the cheers of enthusiastic supporters! 🎉 It's good to know that besides being fun, this event is also charitable! 🎗️ By registering, you're supporting the organization "Les Clowns de l'Hôpital" which helps children and young people enjoy life and get through tough days in the hospital 🫶. A true superhero right down to your sneakers! 👟

After your performance, take some time to explore Stavanger and its surroundings 🚶‍➡️. Stroll through Old Stavanger and its cobblestone streets lined with white wooden houses, typical of the area 🏘️. It's a chance to be completely transported! 😍 To learn more about the history of this city and its significance in the oil industry, the Petroleum Museum will open its doors for you! 🤗 If you haven't seen enough fjords during your run and crave more, you can head to Preikestolen (The Pulpit Rock), just an hour's drive away 🚗. This magnificent rock plateau offers a panoramic view of the Lysefjord 🪨. A well-deserved reward after the effort of the race! 😲 Plus, you can complement this excursion with a delicious fish specialty, typical of Norway 🐟. After such an achievement, it's only right to replenish your energy, right? 😏

So come and become the next Avenger at the Stavanger Marathon! 🌟
