We Make It Spark B.V.
Come on! The door's wide open for you! 👐
If you decide to join, you definitely won't regret it. Today, we're taking you on a journey to discover Rotterdam, the jewel of the Netherlands 🇳🇱, situated in the Province of South Holland. You absolutely must join in, captain 👨✈️, because the NN Rotterdam Marathon is a must-attend event that draws about 25,000 people each year! 😳 So, it's under probable rain ☔️ that you too can set off to claim the finisher's medal 🥇 of the Rotterdam Marathon, a legendary race that's as fast as lightning ⚡. Look forward to several highlights in this historically rich naval city, especially passing by the Erasmus Bridge, the Feijenoord Stadium 🏟️, and the city's icon: the Euromast! The program includes not 3, not 4, but 5 races: a 42.195 km, a 10.55 km, a 4.2 km, a business team relay 🤝 and of course, two races of 1 km and 2.5 km for the little ones 👦.
You've got no more excuses; pack your bags! 🧳 Any runner worth their salt knows about this event. Naturally! The Rotterdam Marathon is famed for being extremely smooth, flat, and therefore fast! 🚀 The elevation is minimal, the course is rolling yet demanding... That's what awaits you in this competition where friendliness and professionalism reign 🤌. The race is so well-organized that it was named among the "top ten marathons in history" and earned the gold label for city marathons by the IAAF 🏆 in 2012. Sounds like the perfect race, doesn't it?
At first glance, yes. However, it's worth noting that in April, the temperatures should still be cool, averaging 9°C during this period 🥶. Well, it's never been very warm in tulip country 🌷, but the question is whether you'll brave the Dutch chill to take part in this iconic race where three world records have been set. Moreover, the marathon is so fast it's ranked just behind those of London, Berlin, and Chicago in the World Marathon Majors! 🙌
We hope these arguments will make you think twice. Through this race, you'll encounter an avant-garde city 🏙️ and culture. Around every corner, you'll discover new architectures and numerous Cube Houses 🔲. Also, the city, steeped in history, is known worldwide for its maritime trade 🛟 and its impressive port ⚓ (Europe's largest). Indeed! Rotterdam is a city of many facets that will surely surprise you throughout your run with its countless canals.
Sailors, ahoy! To your boats! 🛥️ Or rather... To your shoes! 👟 🏃♀️
