The event in a few words

Did we say heading towards the Var? 🤔 Actually, we were talking about the quaint town in Hungary called Kapuvár! 🤓 That's where your next race takes place: the KapuvárRun 🏃‍♀️‍➡️. You probably haven’t heard of this Hungarian village, yet it's full of surprises! 🤫 Featuring porcelain, medieval buildings ⚔️, and renowned thermal waters ⛲, you'll embark on a true journey through time 😍. Hopefully, you won’t mind running in circles ⌚, as all the routes are loop-based... 🔄 many loops! 😵‍💫

Let's break it down for you! ☝️ Starting from the historical monument of the Passport Office 🏛️, there are no less than 7 events at the KapuvárRun: a 6-hour race 🕞, a marathon, a half-marathon, a 10 km, a 5 km, a 2.2 km, and even a kids' race! 🧒 Suffice to say, all levels will be represented and the whole family is invited 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. But let's get back to those loops! 🐑 The 6-hour race, the toughest challenge 💪, takes place on a 1,100 m loop. Yes, you read that right: 1,100 m to run as many times as possible in 6 hours 😅. One thing's for sure, don't get dizzy! 😂 For other road races, it's the same story: 8 loops of 5.27 km for the marathon, 4 for the half-marathon, 2 for the 10 km, and one for the 5 km. Once the race is over 🏁, you'll know the route better than the locals! 🤭 And because sharing is caring, you can form your own running team: up to 12 relays for the 6-hour race, 10 for the marathon, and 4 for the half-marathon 🤝. No strict rules apply to the relays: each person runs when they want and as many loops as they can! 🤗 It's the perfect event to perform ⏱️, discover, or introduce running to your friends and family 😜.

After crossing the finish line, you'll be a pro on the heart of Kapuvár ! 🧠 So why not explore the riches of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County? 👀 To relax your tired legs 🦵, wander through the old town of Gyor and marvel at its architecture! 😮 Not far away, the Pannonhalma Archabbey is a must-visit: a thousand-year-old half-monastery ⛪ and half-library 📙, it's one of the jewels of Hungarian culture. To end the weekend on a high 😁, head to Sopron for some summer sledging fun! 🛝

Are you ready to take on the adventure, will you dare to run the KapuvárRun? 😎
