Marathon d'Auxerre et ses Terroirs
Ready for a first-time experience? 🐣 Then get set for the Auxerre and its Terroirs Marathon! It’s happening in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and offers four race distances: 7.5 km, 13 km, a half marathon, and a full marathon. 🏃♀️ There’s something for everyone, regardless of their running level! 😬
The race will guide you and your friends through all the historic and natural sites of Auxerre. 🤌 You’ll even get to taste some local products at the refreshment points... 😋 But don’t linger too long—keep an eye on the clock! ⏱️ Plus, the event will feature a festival village with activities, music 🎵, tastings, and services for participants 🎪. This event promises to be full of joy and encounters! With this race, you’ll discover Auxerre, a city rich in art and history, the banks of the Yonne River, the city’s public parks, the AJ Auxerre football club ⚽️, the village of Escolives-Sainte-Camille... 😯 Explore medieval and Gallo-Roman heritage, timber-framed houses, the Gothic Saint-Étienne Cathedral, vineyards, forests and gentle hills... Clearly, this race is a fabulous blend of city, heritage, history, and nature! 🤩
One advantage of races with a variety of distances is that you can bring more people along. Plus, the timing is perfect for an outing! ☀️ Also, the record for the Auxerre and its Terroirs Marathon is still open. You’ve got a great chance to set a new record if you don’t indulge too much at the refreshment points 😅. Don’t worry though, you can make up for it after the race, whether you stay in Auxerre or explore the Yonne department. If you enjoy art, head over to the Zervos Museum, named after Christian Zervos, an art critic, publisher, and friend of painters 🎨. The museum features works by Picasso, Giacometti, Kandinsky, Le Corbusier, Miró... And many other wonders! 🌟
Who said that sport, culture, and nature can’t go hand in hand? 😏
