Imagine for a moment... 😴
Picture yourself running through the grand streets of one of the world's most beautiful capitals 🌍, combining your love for travel and running! 😍 Today, you can experience this with the Rome 10km 🇮🇹, a race that takes place on the last day of the year. This event offers two formats for its participants: a timed race and two non-timed runs. Isn't that the perfect way to soak in the wonders of this incredible capital? 🤭
The organizers of this race have carved out a route through the heart of Rome. The race starts in the Testaccio district, right next to Trastevere, a neighborhood known to every traveler who has visited the Eternal City. You'll encounter countless iconic sites and exceptional monuments ⭐️ that contribute to the prestige of the Italian capital 🌆. You'll pass near the Colosseum and along the ancient ruins of the Forum... 🏛️
After your race, you can explore the western part of the city. Indeed, landmarks like the Pantheon or the Vatican 🇻🇦 aren't on the race map 🗺️. You can spend your January 1st discovering the city of seven hills. Prefer to get away from the city hustle? Spend a few hours at the Villa Pamphilj Park in the Monteverde neighborhood, where the committed filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini lived 🎥. The number of artistic treasures is astounding, and you might unexpectedly stumble upon a Caravaggio painting in a church... 😍 Want to venture outside of Rome and explore the region? Go go go! 🔫 Within an hour's drive, you can visit Tivoli with its famous Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana, or the magnificent Ninfa Gardens 🌸.
