Rome 15K
The 15K of Rome is a welcoming race that you'll be thrilled to join. We invite you to the heart of the capital of Italy 🇮🇹, for a short but fast-paced run! 💨
In addition to the Rome 15K, there’s also a 5K route on road for those wanting to tackle a shorter distance 👟. Both distances can also be run in a non-timed manner! ⏱️ If you feel like running for fun rather than performance, this option is perfect for you! 🤪
To make every step more memorable, the organizers offer exceptional routes each year 😎. The race begins at the Baths of Caracalla, at the base of the Aventine Hill. These baths are the oldest historical site in the capital 🧖♀️, impressively well-preserved from ancient times 📜. A significant portion of the race runs along the Tiber River, the third longest river in Italy 💦, which flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea 🌊 just a few kilometers from Rome. You’ll get to admire it while crossing one of the city's bridges, the Ponte Cavour, and another, the “Ponte del Risorgimento” 🌉. However, the true highlight of the event is when athletes pass by the Pantheon 🤩. This ancient edifice was originally built to honor all the deities of ancient religion 🙌.
Beyond the race, we highly recommend extending your stay in the "Eternal City" 🌟. There is so much to see! Rome is a city with a rich history that continues to be written through its monuments, sites, culture, and language 📚. You definitely don't want to miss out on discovering all it has to offer! Of course, the must-see spots include the Colosseum, this Flavian Amphitheatre 🎭, which is 188 meters long and 156 meters wide, and part of the 7 Wonders of the World! 🌍 It’s a reminder of the grandeur of the Roman Empire 🏛️. Unsurprisingly, we also mention the famous Trevi Fountain! ⛲ Featuring the sea god Neptune (also known as Poseidon), on his war chariot heading to the sea 🔱. Will you be one of the many tourists striking a pose in front of this fountain, more famous than Michael Jackson? 📸 Okay, we admit it’s not the most original suggestion, but trust us, you can't miss it! 🕺 If crowds aren't your thing, we understand—consider heading to Lake Bracciano, a peaceful haven perfect for recovering after the 15K, whether you ran it quickly or took your time. Your motivation, your pace 💪.
One thing is for sure, we can't wait to see your achievements in the 15K of Rome! 🏃♂️
