Champs Elysées
Located right in the heart of Paris, you'll pass through the most beautiful spots of the City of Light 💡 thanks to this 10 km race. The competition along the Champs-Élysées will warm both your body 🦵 and your heart ❤️. Yes indeed ! The 8th arrondissement of Paris is the star of the event: Arc de Triomphe, Parc Monceau 🌳, avenue des Champs-Élysées... Ring a bell? Of course it does! 😏 All these French heritage wonders 🥖 will be part of the course waiting for you. So quickly put on your beret your race bib 🎽, and run to grab your croissant the starting line 🏃♂️.
What better way to start the week than with a fun run on a Sunday ? Letting off steam, admiring the breathtaking view, taking it easy... That's what you can look forward to during this race that promises to treat both your eyes and taste buds 🧀 ! You'll run along some of the most famous streets in the world, from Faubourg Saint-Honoré to rue Balzac and boulevard Haussmann 🤯. The highlight is, of course, running down the avenue des Champs-Élysées 😎 (no surprise there given the race's name, but it's always good to be clear 😂). We'd love for the race to go all the way to the Louvre 🏛️ or the Eiffel Tower ⭐, but you'll just have to settle for an exceptional finish on one of the world's most iconic avenues... poor you ! 😜
As for the weather, we strongly advise you not to forget your cozy sweater—or rather, in Paris, your stylish cardigan! 😁 Yes, because in February, the capital is lovely, but it can be chilly! ❄️ That doesn't mean you won't have a great time, quite the opposite! After your run, you might want to try your hand at ice skating at the Tuileries ice rink! ⛸️ If you can run, you can glide too, right? 🕺 The cold won't stop you from taking a stroll along the Seine, whether it's freezing or not, it's always beautiful 🔓 (just be careful not to slip). We also recommend taking advantage of the free entry to museums 📚. There’s a wide variety to choose from, something for everyone! Or you could visit Parc Monceau, which you'll have had a chance to run through 🌿. If you fancy something new, go exploring these places: Parc de Clichy - Jardin des Tuileries - Parc des Buttes Chaumont or even Parc Montsouris ⛲. No doubt this will make your mouth water (if the run hasn't already 🤷♀️) and the kids too! 🧒 Playgrounds, statues, and vibrant nature inhabit the city's most elegant park... 🏓 Yes, yes, yes, at Finishers we love combining sweat and joy, so easygoing races are our thing! 🤝 So if you too want to end your week with a 10 km run to beat your record or just take a leisurely jog in a stunning setting, now's your chance 😌.
Starting from Avenue Hoche in the morning, you'll embark on two loops through the heart of the capital 🔂. As you dash along Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, you'll catch a glimpse of the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the French Presidents! 🇫🇷 But don't linger too long unless you want to have a run-in with the Republican Guard (you might give them a bit of a chase 😂). Heading towards Place Charles de Gaulle (Place de l'Étoile), you'll have a breathtaking view of the Arc de Triomphe before crossing the most beautiful avenue in the world. You can run while pondering what to buy once the race is over 🛍. Approaching the Champs-Élysées Gardens, you'll turn back before taking Boulevard Haussmann and admiring its beautiful architecture. Continue pushing yourself to reach Parc Monceau, cross it, and dash towards your starting point. And then you're off for a second round before you can indulge in Paris's famed macarons 😋.
