Verona Run Marathon
Head to Verona 🇮🇹, the city of the star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet 💏. If their love story ended in tragedy in this beautiful city, we believe you too can catch the love bug 😍 (but with a happier ending, we promise 😉). However, remember you're here to race !😂 The Verona Marathon offers a variety of races to win your heart: a 10 km for the shy ones 😳, a 21 km for the romantics 😘, and a 42 km for the truly passionate 🤤.
If you come to Italy 🤌 for the Verona Run Marathon, whether it's for the marathon or the half marathon, you'll have the chance to explore both the must-see alleys of the city center center and the more remote and wild spots 🌾, "mmmh ma che bella"! 🎻
The two main routes start at the “Piazzale Olimpia”, home to the magnificent Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi 🏟️⚽, then gradually wind into the surrounding plains of Verona. You'll traverse quaint roads before running alongside one of Italy's largest rivers; the Adige ! 🌊 The picturesque scenery 📸 will help distract you from the mileage before re-entering the city center 🌇. But the effort is worth it. With its medieval style, ancient houses, and Roman ruins 🗿, Verona is among Italy's most beautiful cities 🥰. And if you're running the half marathon, the end of your dream (not ordeal) is near. You'll let the marathon runners head farther as you make your way directly to the “Piazza Brà”, right next to the impressive “Arena di Verona” 🏛️. Meanwhile, the marathon warriors will be enjoying the greenery! 🌳 This time, it's the charm of the Italian suburbs that might make you fall in love ❤️. But don't lose focus 🧭, you'll have to turn back before reaching Lake Garda ! 🏞️ Remember your goal 🎯, it's all about the race! 🏃♂️ And besides, the water is quite cold this time of year ❄️. Once you reach the town of San Martino Buon Albergo, you'll have about 10 km left to smash your personal best and join your friends at the finish line! 🏁
As you can see, these routes will let you flirt with the historic sites of Verona. Understand, this is truly a cultural and emotional epic waiting for you, and we hope you're ready to meet and woo Italy with your heart fully engaged (and your cardio on point 🫀)! 😎
Grab your ticket 🎟️ and discover a unique race in a historical setting that will enchant you mile by mile 🏃🏻♂️. To all running enthusiasts, Verona awaits to sweep you off your feet... And make you sweat! 😜💦
PS: "I will do it" in Italian is "Lo farò" 😉.
