Deporvillage TriTour
In April, head to Deltebre, a city nestled between Barcelona and Valencia, for a sizzling hot triathlon. Here's a fun fact 👆: Did you know that Deltebre gets its name simply from the combination of "Delta" and "Ebre"? Yep, it's just that straightforward! 🤗 This part of Catalonia is the magical place where the Ebre, Spain's longest river, flows into the Mediterranean Sea 🌊. It's here, amidst this unique scenery of lagoons and rice fields serenaded by the songs of flamingos, that the Tritour Deltebre awaits you to inscribe your sporting legend 🏆.
Each year, over 1,000 triathletes test their mettle at this event, making TriTour Deltebre a true hub of triathlon in Catalonia 💥. Why? Because this city promises a triathlon experience that rolls out the red carpet for your stopwatch ⏱️: a swim assisted by the current of the Ebre (thank you for the boost! 🙏), an ultra-fast cycling segment on straight roads begging for speed ⚡️, and a flat course that offers a runner’s dream 😎. As for distances, there’s something for every taste and every level 🦵. For an adrenaline rush, there's the Sprint event with its 750 m swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run 🤗. For the die-hards, there's the Half with its 1.9 km swim, 86 km bike, and 20 km run 😮. In between, there's the Short 🤏 (950 m swim, 57 km bike, and 10 km run) and the Olympic 🏅 (1.5 km swim, 38 km bike, and 10 km run), allowing you to set your own pace. Not a fan of running? You can even complete the Short in Aquabike mode: swim, bike... and head straight to the final refreshment station! 😋 The best part is, all races can be done in relay 🤝. So whether you’re a sprinter, beginner, swimming lover of the Ebre, or a cyclist in search of records, Deltebre sets the stage for a day of sport, self-challenge, and camaraderie 🌞.
If you love triathlon, you love triple doses of pain... and pleasure! 🙃 We invite you to extend your stay after the race, it’s truly worth it 🙌. Head to the Punta Del Fangar, one of the most beautiful natural spaces in Catalonia 😍, or explore the hidden corners of the Ebre by canoe 🛶. Take a stroll through the market in Deltebre, one of the region's most popular 😍. Indulge in tapas, esqueixada, paella, crema catalana... the region is sure to capture your heart (and your taste buds 🫄).
Aleshores, a què esperes per registrar-te ? 💃
Let me remind you in English : So, what are you waiting for to sign up? 🫵
Splash 💦 ! Dive into the welcoming waters of the Ebre for 1.9 km of swimming, flowing along with the river's current. Once you're out of the water at the Parc Fluvial Del Delta, head towards the transition area where your bike eagerly awaits 🚴♂️. Then, embark on 86 km of cycling on the road, taking a wonderful ride to Amposta (where there will be a checkpoint 📍) before heading back to Deltebre to gear up for the final leg. In the last transition, trade your helmet for running shoes 👟 and set off on 20 km of running along the Ebre river to the finish line !
Here you are in the Ebre for 950 m of swimming ! 🏊 It goes by as quickly as a wave in the delta breeze, I promise 🙃. Back on land, you hop on your bike 🚴 for 57 km of cycling, with just enough wind to remind you that you're right by the Mediterranean 🌊. Then you finish in style by switching to runner mode : 10 km of running along the river, enough to keep you going to the finish line like a pro! 💥
And we're off! Dive into the 1.5 km swim to tackle the Ebre River. Once you're out of the water, there's no time to dawdle—head straight to the transition zone and hop on your bike 🚴♀️. You'll then cover 38 km of cycling, enjoying the stunning views of the delta. Finally, it's the home stretch: leave your bike behind and start running 👟 for 10 km along the river, with the finish line in sight 🧐.
Splash 💦 and off you go for 750 meters of swimming in the Ebro River, perfect for those who are not yet quite fish in the water 🐟. Back on solid ground, you hop on your bike 🚴 for 20 kilometers of fast cycling, like lightning ⚡️. You return to the transition area to put on your running shoes and tackle 5 kilometers along the riverbank, perfect for giving it your all and finishing with a smile 😄.
