The event in a few words

Imagine this 💭: running along the stunning Spanish coastline, with the sound of the waves 🌊 accompanying every step, the sea breeze 🌬️ gently brushing your face, and the endless horizon of the Mediterranean Sea following you throughout your run... Sounds dreamy, right? 😍 Then sign up for the "Mediterranean 21K Run", a half marathon, in Spain 🇪🇸, in mid-November, connecting the vibrant city of Alicante to the charming town of Santa Pola ⛱️.

The 6th edition promises to be just as festive as the previous ones! 🥳 Indeed, Alicante is known for its lively nightlife 🥂 both during the high and low season. Expect plenty of supporters along the route cheering for the runners 🙌. The "Mediterranean 21K Run" is famous for its electric atmosphere ⚡️, thanks in part to its strong international participation, adding a dynamic touch to the race vibe, creating a melting pot of languages and cultures 🌍. The atmosphere promises to be more than welcoming, providing that little extra motivation to help you cross the finish line! 🏁 It's not just a half marathon, it's a true celebration of the sport! 🎉

The course, exactly 21.0975 km, follows the Mediterranean coast, so remember to lift your head during the run to not miss the postcard-worthy landscapes 🖼️. Even though the temperatures are mild 🌡️ during this time of year, rarely exceeding 20°C, if you're tempted to take a dip 🤿, you may want to come back later... Unless you're brave enough to handle the chill! 🥶

And after the effort, comes the reward! 😋 With your shiny finisher medal around your neck 🏅, why not taste some tapas in downtown Alicante? 🌮 You must try the "empanadas" 🥟, these Spanish specialties often filled with tuna 🐟, peppers 🫑, onions 🧅, and other tasty ingredients. If you're a paella 🥘 fan, don’t miss out on trying the Alicante version: arroz a la alicantina 🍚. If you're worried about getting bored during your stay, fear not! If you enjoyed the view in Santa Pola, don't hesitate to go back and visit its lighthouse, a perfect spot to admire the sunsets 🌅. If you're up for a boat trip, you can visit the Tabarca archipelago, with Nueva Tabarca being its main island, a true slice of paradise. A perfect way to relax after your run! ⛵

In summary, if you love running and exploring new horizons, the "Mediterranean 21K Run" is perfect for you! So, ready for the adventure? 🫡
