Race For Catherine 2025

What if supporting animal welfare 🐕 was a great reason to start running? 🏃‍➡️ You can try this experience in Newtown, USA, in Connecticut! The Race For Catherine is a charity run of 5 km 👟. Join the event in person in October 12th or participate in the virtual version October 10 - 12th. The race is organized by the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary 🏥. For its 5th edition, organizers are hoping to attract even more participants! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

The route is accessible to everyone and is not challenging! So, there are no excuses not to sign up and start this race with compassion in your heart ❤️. The event is held in the historical center of the town 🏙️, at the Fairfield Hills Campus 🌿. This is a special tribute to Catherine Violet, the young girl who tragically lost her life at age 6 in 2012 and inspired this whole project. With her immense love and compassion for animals, she managed to create a wave of solidarity and rally adults to the cause 👨. Throughout the course, you'll witness installations aimed at honoring the connection between animals 🦌, humans 🚶‍➡️, and the environment 🌍, fostering a gentler world for all.

To successfully carry out this ambitious project, the foundation requires financial support 💰. That's why you're here! By registering, you're helping contribute to the cause 🪨. To sign up, you'll need to raise $25 per person in addition to the registration fee. Early bird registrations are $5 off.  Children will even have the chance to meet some animal ambassadors brought in especially for the event 😎.

If you're looking for more excitement, adventurers eager for nature and fresh air 🌬️ will find plenty to do! Many forests 🌲 and hiking trails 🥾 are available throughout the state of Connecticut. And if you have a vehicle 🚗, you can even drive to Bridgeport to view the Atlantic Ocean 🌊.
