Serengeti Migration Marathon
With this philosophy, you'll be ready to start the Serengeti Migration Marathon! 🏃➡️ How about ending your summer vacation in style with a quick detour to the Tanzanian plains at the end of August? 🗓️ You won't be running just anywhere: the Serengeti National Park 🌳 is not only Tanzania's largest national park but also the most famous in the world! 🌍 Starting from the town of Mugumu, the Serengeti Migration Marathon invites you to an adventure that rivals the best safaris in Africa: wildebeests, zebras 🦓, gazelles, rhinos 🦏, lions, and even cheetahs 🐆. Get ready to run with the kings of the savannah! 😂
Even if you're not a gazelle that can run miles without getting winded 🥵, don't worry, there are other events during the weekend! 😎 Indeed, it's not just the marathon! ☝️ This event also features a half-marathon, a 10k, and a 5k! 🛣️ And if Saturday's races aren't enough for you, more events are lined up for Sunday 😉. Plus, they're all for a good cause! 🫶 The Serengeti Migration Marathon highlights the importance of wildlife conservation 🦒 and endangered species. The organizer is also committed to anti-poaching efforts ❌, which is the main focus of the 12 km and 5.5 km races. These events are quite different from Saturday's 🤗. They start in the heart of the park 📍, at Fort Ikoma, allowing you not only to witness the migration ↔️ but to become part of it by running among groups of wild animals along the Serengeti National Park 🤩. The Ikona forests, the Ikorongo and Grumeti game reserves—what more could you wish for? 🥰
After crossing the finish line 🏁, why not extend your adventure? 🗺️ To give your legs a rest, you can join a safari in the Serengeti Park or explore other nearby parks: the Kilimanjaro Park, the Tarangire Park, or the Maswa Reserve. The region is full of opportunities! 😌 Keep your eyes peeled as some animals are masters of camouflage, so have your binoculars ready! 🤓 If relaxation is what you prefer, the shores of Lake Victoria 🏞️ offer breathtaking views! You'll be at the crossroads of Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya, a perfect chance to experience new cultures! 😜
