The event in a few words

In the sacred mountains of Mount Circeo, where the waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea ๐ŸŒŠ crash against the cliffs and the mysteries of the Odyssey come alive ๐Ÿ’ญ, San Felice Circeo awaits you ๐Ÿคฉ. This corner of Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น, nestled in the Lazio region, is steeped in legends ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Itโ€™s said that here, the sorceress Circe ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ transformed Ulysses' sailors into pigs ๐Ÿ–. Fortunately, the only transformation you can expect when stepping on these lands is becoming a modern hero ๐Ÿ…, ready to conquer the Maga Circe Marathon.

Get ready to run in an exceptional setting ๐ŸŒŸ. Between San Felice Circeo and Sabaudia, you will be surrounded by the wild beauty of the Circeo National Park, a protected area of nearly 8,500 hectares. Starting at the port of San Felice Circeo โš“, you will embark on a paved route that winds between the communes of Sabaudia and along the sea ๐ŸŸ. But that's not all: the Maga Circe Marathon is an international event, featured in the prestigious World Athletics Global Calendar and the Italian National Calendar FIDAL as a Bronze level event ๐Ÿ…. If you're not ready to tackle such a distance, other routes are available ๐Ÿค—. The more adventurous will opt for the 28 km, a perfect challenge to balance effort and enjoyment โšก. Speed enthusiasts will go for the 10 km ๐Ÿš€ while families can enjoy the Family Walk of 2.5 km ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ.

But this adventure doesnโ€™t end at the finish line ๐Ÿ. Once the medal is around your neck ๐Ÿ…, let yourself be charmed by the treasures of San Felice Circeo and its surroundings. Climb to the summit of Mount Circeo โ›ฐ๏ธ for breathtaking views, explore the mysterious Grotta Guattari ๐Ÿ•ณ๏ธ, where Neanderthal remains have been discovered, or simply relax on the pristine beaches of Sabaudia. Even though the water is not warm in February, take a dip in the Tyrrhenian Sea to soothe your tired muscles ๐Ÿฆตโ€ฆ Itโ€™s like a free cryotherapy session โ„๏ธ. And because a hero deserves a feast ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ, indulge in local specialties: fresh seafood ๐Ÿฆž, stracciatella alla Romana ๐Ÿฒ, and of course, a glass of wine ๐Ÿท or a limoncello ๐Ÿ‹ to celebrate your victory.
