Victor Hugo once said, "Fraternity is just a human idea; solidarity is a universal concept." 🎓 This notion of solidarity takes on even more meaning when the Telethon is launched each year. 🙏 The Cross du Figaro is a nature-oriented charity run that takes place in November in the Hauts-de-Seine, more precisely in the town of Saint-Cloud. As the character Figaro in The Barber of Seville would say, everyone to "Figaro, figaro, figarooooooo" 🎤.
An enticing schedule promises a weekend filled with joy, happiness, and sharing – the key pillars of the event 🤗. More than just a race, the Cross du Figaro is above all a committed race on several fronts ♻️. The primary and undoubtedly most significant commitment is an affiliation with the Telethon, characterized by an almost complete transfer of the generated proceeds to this association 💪. Founded in 1987, the Telethon is a major fundraising operation aiming to combat genetic and neuromuscular diseases. Additionally committed to environmental conservation, particularly of the Parisian spaces, this event is a true solidarity push and support to be accomplished by running during this adventure 🏃♂️.
Indeed, it's an adventure you'll experience with this new edition of the Cross du Figaro. An adventure that promises to be vibrant 🎨, with the rendezvous set at the National Domain of Saint-Cloud 🌳. The event program includes 6 races catering to all levels: 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, and two night races of 5 or 10 km 🔦. Whether day or night, explore the Saint-Cloud park and its 460 hectares. Discover its long paths, beautiful lawns, and wooded areas, so cherished by Parisians 😍. The sensation of being in the forest 🌲 in the middle of nowhere, although you're only 10 minutes from Paris, is unique. If you can't make it to Saint-Cloud, the organizers have thought of you by creating a connected Cross ⌚️. The idea is that your bib costs €10 (25% will be donated to the Telethon), and once registered, you have one week to run 5 km wherever you are and hope to rank! 🎖️
What can you expect from the course? 🧐 It's as refined and crafted as an editorial line straight from the Figaro that the organizers have concocted for you 📰. Once home to a castle 🏰, consumed by fire in 1870, it is within the National Domain of Saint-Cloud that you'll run for a good cause. Mostly inhabited by cedars, cypresses, pines, and oaks, it promises to be a true natural expedition that brings freshness and oxygen 🌲. Every meter covered immerses you in the rich heritage of the park, originally acquired by Catherine de Medici in 1577, designed as a vast French garden 🥖. Numerous sculptures of Greek and Roman deities are scattered throughout the domain, and you'll have the opportunity to admire the magnificent fountains adorning the park, culminating in a stunning water display at the Grande Cascade ⛲️. Take a moment at the top to admire the sculpture representing "The Junction of the Seine and the Marne", a true architectural feat 👏.
After supporting and participating in this fundraising effort and pushing yourself on the trails of the National Domain of Saint-Cloud to achieve your best time ⏱️, we encourage you to explore the Hauts-de-Seine department to learn more about its cultural and gastronomic heritage 😋. Visit the Departmental Domain of the Vallée-aux-Loups and the House of Chateaubriand, two iconic sites in the region that keep alive the memory of the celebrated writer 📚. Then head to Sèvres to view the world-renowned porcelains at the Cité de la Céramique 🍶. Culinary-wise, delight in fried gudgeons, paired with an étoile du berger — a rhubarb and almond tart 🥧 — and a glass of Suresnes wine 🍷.
Instead of just watching it on TV, come participate in the Telethon during the Cross du Figaro! 🤗

This one is the main event of the Cross du Figaro, featuring 20 km that will take you through every corner of the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud. Reserved for experienced runners, the race starts at the same point as the other distances, near the Rond-Point de la Balustrade 🏁.
You'll get a true immersion into the park, which you'll know inside and out by the end of the event 🌳. After starting your run and exploring the eastern part of the domain, you'll head to Allée de Chamillard to delve deeper into the western side of the forest in the area known as Clodoaldiennes (yes, that's the demonym for the town of Saint-Cloud 😂).
After returning to more frequented trails, you'll need to make a final effort along Allée de la Broussaille and Allée de la Lanterne to complete this beautiful 10-kilometer loop with your best sprint 🏃♂️. But be prepared, as you'll need to save some energy because, as good things often come in pairs, you'll head out on the same course again to complete a second loop for a total of 20 kilometers. The organizers are really trying to make it a memorable experience for you 😉.
So, hurry and grab your race bib to contribute to the cause and participate in the fundraising efforts for the Téléthon 🙏.
15 kilometers seems like a great distance to push your limits and make a meaningful contribution to the Telethon, doesn't it? 💪
The race kicks off at the Rond-Point de la Balustrade, setting the stage for you to achieve your best time on this distance ⏱️. You'll run through the Allées de la Lanterne and Félicité before reaching the western part of the park, where you'll cover 5 kilometers surrounded by a dense forest. At the 7th kilometer of the race, you'll come across the Allée de la Broussaille, setting the scene for what's sure to be a memorable "lap"! 🤩 After completing a nice 10 km loop, you'll continue with a shorter 5 km loop. Rest assured, the finish line will be waiting for you! 🏁
A 10-kilometer race is a great distance to push yourself and contribute to the Telethon, don't you think? 💪 The race kicks off at the Rond-Point de la Balustrade, where you can aim for your personal best over the distance ⏱️. You'll run through the Allées de la Lanterne 💡 and Félicité, heading to the western part of the park, where you'll spend 5 kilometers running through a dense forest (though it's not exactly the Amazon rainforest 😂). During the 7th kilometer, you'll hit l'Allée de la Broussaille, for a memorable lap, leading you back to l'Allée de la Lanterne to cross the finish line and complete your tenth kilometer amidst cheering crowds 👏.
The 5 km race of the Cross du Figaro NordicTrack is a charity run taking place entirely within the Domaine de Saint-Cloud 🌳. This route, the shortest distance scheduled during this sporting event, will follow the same course as the Varta Night, which will have occurred two days before. The starting point will be at the Rond-Point de la Balustrade 🏃♂️. You'll have the chance to run through the park amid the oaks, cypresses, and cedars that populate the area, and breathe in this fresh air, on a loop accessible to all levels of runners 👌. With no significant elevation, this race is perfect for your firstexperience and a great way to prepare for tackling longer distances in the future! 😉
Have you always dreamed of running at night? Or are you already a fan of this discipline? In any case, the "Varta Night Figaro" at the Cross du Figaro is the race for you, leading you on a nighttime adventure through the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud 🌳.
The race will kick off at 8 PM, just after sunset when the cool night air sets in. This nighttime run 🌙 offers a choice of 5 km or 10 km routes, featuring pathways through the expansive park lined with towering trees and lush lawns (which you might not see much of since it will be nighttime 😂).
More than just a typical night race, this is a run filled with lights 💡. Without any timing or pressure, you’ll even enjoy a refreshing drink at the finish line to celebrate the moment with friends or colleagues! 🍻
