Just a tip: don't drink too much during the raceโฆ ๐ But don't worry too much, you'll be too busy being awestruck by the scenery around you. And as if the Mediterranean Sea ๐ isn't enough, the routes will also take you through authentic villages on the island. You'll see mountain areas and the lands that cover it โฐ๏ธ. In March in Cyprus, temperatures range between 8ยฐC and 18ยฐC ๐ก๏ธ. Perfect for enjoying the coast โ๏ธ, and also for getting your legs moving on one of the distances! ๐ฆต
Did you know the marathon starts, according to myth, at the place where the goddess Aphrodite was born? ๐งโโ๏ธ Legend even says that if you swim at midnight near the cliffs of Pรฉtra Tou Romiou, you'll experience eternal love (since Aphrodite is the goddess of love)! ๐ Of course, that's just a legend. Our mission is to get you signed up for the Cyprus Marathon and ensure you have an unforgettable experience. Finding true love is just a bonus! ๐ Oh, you're laughing now, but we'll see after you try! ๐ช The courses are along the coast. We can already imagine you breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the flat course! ๐โโ๏ธ And if you see planes flying overhead, it's not your private jet coming to your rescue... You're just near one of the three airports in Cyprus ๐ฌ.
During your stay, you'll have the chance to visit some amazing places! ๐๏ธ Among our favorites are Paphos Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the medieval castle ๐ฟ, the Agios Neophytos Monastery, and of course, the bay where Aphrodite was born! Start at Petra Tou Romiou! Right next to the birthplace of Aphrodite ๐, you'll begin your run along this stunning seaside route with breathtaking cliffs! ๐ You'll follow the B6 road towards Paphos. The route is mostly straight, but it might have a slight incline in the first few kilometers. Refreshment stations are set up every 3 km ๐ฅค, with three of them offering solid food items (21 km, 30 km, 39 km) ๐. At the 11 km mark, you'll descend into the town of Mandria and run around it for 6 km before rejoining the main route.
Along your path, you will pass the village of Tรญmi and then Achรฉlia, where you'll veer left for a 5 km loop. During this detour, you'll run through expansive fields, showcasing the islandโs beautiful landscapes ๐พ. At the 32 km mark, you'll rejoin the B6 road until you reach the final roundabout of the half marathon route. Take the 3rd exit onto the Syprou Kyprianou Avenue. The last few kilometers mirror those of the 21 km course, leading you directly to the finish line at the Paphos Castle! ๐ Finish your run along the seaside, enjoying the lovely promenade by the Paphos harbor! โต
Starting at the Pafos Castle! ๐ฐ You'll run along the Pafos harbor promenade โต, passing by the Nea Paphos Archaeological Site. Refreshment stations are available every 3 km ๐ฆ. At the 5 km mark, you'll turn left onto Syprou Kyprianou Avenue, taking a 2.5 km detour before turning back. You will then follow the avenue to the fourth refreshment station, located at the entrance of a roundabout ๐ฃ๏ธ. From there, it's a straight route to the next one. Once you reach the intersection, you'll need to turn around and retrace your steps back to the finish line! ๐ An exceptional finish awaits you at Pafos Castle!
The 10 km race follows the same route as the Cyprus Half Marathon. The starting point is at Pafos Castle ๐ฐ, leading up to Syprou Kyprianou Avenue, where you'll make a U-turn to head back to Pafos Castle! ๐
Get ready for a 5 km run through the streets of Paphos! The race kicks off at Paphos Castle ๐ฐ, winding along the harbor and passing by the archaeological park of Nea Paphos! At 2.5 km north of the city, you'll turn back and head straight to the finish line! ๐

Cyprus Marathon: 7:30 AM at Petra tou Romiou
Cyprus Half Marathon: 8:30 AM at Pafos Castle Square
10 km Road Race: 8:45 AM at Pafos Castle
5 km Fun Run: 9:00 AM at Pafos Castle Square
Participants are advised to arrive 45 minutes before their respective start times.
Race bibs can be collected at the Marathon Expo located 100 meters from Pafos Castle and 300 meters from the Kato Pafos bus terminal.

Friday, March 1, 2024: 9 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM
Saturday, March 2, 2024: 9 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM
For the Cyprus Marathon, buses will depart from Kato Pafos bus station between 6:00 AM and 6:20 AM. Other buses will leave from different parts of Pafos and Cyprus. You may also travel by taxi, walk (if your hotel is nearby), or drive your own vehicle. Parking will be available at the site.
For the Cyprus Marathon and Half Marathon, there will be refreshment points every 3 km, alternating between water-only stations and stations offering both water and electrolytes.
For the 10 km race: two fluid stations will be available.
For the 5 km race: one station will be available at the halfway point.
