Brasov Running Festival
Ready for a running event of international stature? 🌍 Then gear up for the 10 km International de Braşov tRUNsylvania! 🦇 This road race, held in the stunning city of Braşov, Romania 📍, will offer you a unique urban experience blending culture and history 😌. The 10 km is part of the Braşov Running Festival, the largest World Athletics event in Eastern Europe! You're about to join a must-participate race in the region, attracting top elite runners! 🤩
But don't worry! 😉 No matter your level, there's a race for you 🫵: 10 km, 5 km, 3 km, 1,200 m, or 800 m—something for everyone! Each event has an elite competition format and an open format, welcoming all 🤗. With the course being flat 🛣️, it's accessible to para-athletes 👨🦽. What better way to push your limits and surpass yourself? 💪 Even kids can join the shorter races: from 800 m for the youngest 👶 to 3 km for the older children 🧒. It’s not every day you get to run in Transylvania! 🏃♀️ So, at the beginning of September, lace up your running shoes 👟 and come uncover the secrets of this legend-filled region 📖. Maybe you'll even spot Dracula around a corner? 🧛♀️
Once you cross the finish line, take the time to explore the surrounding wonders ✨. You'll learn much more by visiting the sites than by watching the cartoon "Hotel Transylvania" 😂. You can start with a visit to the legendary Bran Castle 🏰, immersing you in the fascinating world of Dracula, just an hour's drive away! 👻 If you're seeking nature ⛰️, explore the Bucegi Mountains, where you can hike 🥾 and enjoy breathtaking landscapes 🏞️. If your legs are too tired after your race, you can always fall back on the historic center of Braşov 🏛️ and marvel at its Black Church, a gothic cathedral and architectural gem ⛪. If you're still craving thrills during the weekend, the Parc Aventura 🏞️ will be perfect for a fun and sporty outing with family or friends 👨👩👧👦 on the treetop adventure courses! 🌳

For the races on Saturday, October 4, 2025 (5 km, 3 km, 1,200m, and 800m): on Friday, October 3, between 10 AM and 7 PM at the Forex Hall's registration desk. You can also collect your goody bags here (including online registrations).
For the races on Sunday, October 5, 2025 (10 km): on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4, between 10 AM and 7 PM at the Forex Hall's registration desk. Goody bags are also available for pick-up here (including online registrations).

Yes, a medical certificate stating no contraindications to competitive running, dated less than a year, is necessary to participate. Valid FFA licenses (or equivalent) are also accepted.
For the 10 km: €40 until March 31, 2025, €50 after
For the 5 km: €40 until March 31, 2025, €50 after
For the 3,000 m Juniors: must be between 14 and 16 years old
For the 1,200 m Kids: must be between 10 and 13 years old
For the 800 m Kids: must be between 6 and 9 years old
All other races require participants to be 18 years or older.
The races for children, juniors, and amateurs are organized in an OPEN format, meaning everyone is welcome to join. The "European Road Mile" and "tRUNsylvania International 10K" are aimed at elite athletes.
There will be 2 refreshment stations on each loop. A final refreshment station will also be available.
